Hi all!
Well, we have had our frist few shows & they seem to have been a great success. Hope everything is as you expected, but if not please find one of your officers to express your suggeestions. Here are a few upcoming events & Suggestions:
1) make sure you check our web site to veriy your points & if you have a problem, please notify Lorrie, She the web Queen. just a reminder the web site is http://fpha.com/
2)We are going to have a trail ride for the association at the Country Lane Bed & Breakfast in Roseland -( just north of Amite) on July 19. We plan to ride from 9:00 until 11:00, then have lunch at the cabana at 12:00. Lunch will not be provided, but maybe we can convince our arena crew to do some cooking if you bring the food. There is also a pool.
The cost is as follows:
a) $10 per person to ride
b) $5 per person for cabana use
c) $15 per night for primitive camping site
d) $25 per night for camper hook up site
e) They also have Pasture available at frist come frist serve basis.
If we can get a good turnout & head count before we arrive, we might be able to get a group discount, but that will depend on our numbers, if you are interested please contact Jeanne or connie if you are interested so they can do a count.
3)Don't for get our official FPHA T-Shirts fo sale. We will have them at the shows, the fun show & Trail ride.
4) Our next fun show is going to be August 16 in Robert ( same place as before- Not the Amite Arena). It will start at 2:00. we are going to have a silent auction, raffles & of course food. Prizes will be given out up to fifth place for each class. We might even have a water slide. Check out our ad in Bits & Pieces
5) Don't forget about Country Care animal supplies. With each purchase you make at their website they will donate up to 5% of the purchase to the club. You can Check out the instructions on our web-site. (Cash Back)
6) Betsy Robertson will be at our June Show taking pictures. This will be a good chance to get some pictures of your horse in action- or in my case non action.
7)This year we will be voting for the Sportsmanship Award at the October & November shows. We will have a voting Bucket at the entry desk.
8) For all of our competitors for the All Around Saddle- Remember you must Show in all 3 Categories in at least 5 shows to be eligible for the saddle.

Year End All Around Saddle
To be eligible to win the all around saddle exhibitor and same horse must compete in one halter class, one judged event class, and one speed event class in at least five shows as a member of Floridia Parishes Horsmen Assoiciation.
